Advanced Level Syllabus Books distribution Programme – 2021

Assistant High Commission of India, Kandy organized distribution of Advanced Level Syllabus books for twenty two schools in tamil plantation areas, situated in Central, Uva and Sabaragamuwa provinces, on 24^th February 2021 at the premises of Assistant High Commission of India, Kandy. Ms. Chamila Wijeratne, Senior Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Education, Central Province, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

2. Speaking at the event, Mr. Raakesh Natraj, Assistant High Commissioner of India, Kandy stressed the need to focus on education, especially during the difficult times of the pandemic. Twenty nine set of books of Advanced Level syllabus for Science, Commerce and Arts streams were distributed to Principals and teachers from 22 schools.

3. Chief Guest Ms. Chamila Wijeratne, mentioned the generous effort of the Government of India for gifting books and highlighted the role of education in shaping future of youth. All health protocols including wearing of masks and social distancing were followed. The participants were limited to 25 only.
