Ms. Saranya V. S. joined the Indian Foreign Service in 2018. She has served in different divisions in the Ministry of External Affairs and in Embassy of India, Madrid. Before this assignment, she served as a desk officer in the Indian Ocean Region Division of Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi. 

Ms. Saranya V. S. speaks Spanish, English, Hindi and Tamil. 

She is married to Mr. Saranyan Ramaswamy and has a daughter and a son.
