Scholarship for studying Hindi in India for the academic session, 2024-25 under the scheme of propagation of Hindi abroad at Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra, India.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India is offering scholarships to Sri Lankan nationals to study Hindi Language at the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan (Central Institute of Hindi), Agra, for the academic session 2024-25.

Eligibility criteria:

• The minimum age for admission is 21 years and maximum age limit is 35 years as on 01.04.2024.

• Applicant must have studied Hindi as a subject at G.C.E. Advanced level (A/L) or have done beginner or intermediate courses in Hindi or any Hindi course conducted by Universities/Schools of Sri Lanka.

• The candidate must have a minimum proficiency in writing & speaking in Hindi or/and English.

• The candidate must have basic skills in operating computer.

The selected candidates will be provided return airfare (economy class), stipend, hostel accommodation and an annual book grant.

Please note that the applicants are required to bring their duly filled-in application forms (03 sets – one original & two duplicates) along with necessary original certificates & documents, and copies thereof and present themselves for an interview in person on 26th February 2024 between 10:00 AM to 01:00PM at Assistant High Commission of India, No. 42, Hilpankandura Mawatha, Ampitiya Road, Kandy, Sri Lanka.
