Celebration of 78th Independence Day of India

 Assistant High Commission of India, Kandy celebrated 78th Independence Day of India in Kandy on 15th August, 2024 with great fervour.

2.  Assistant High Commissioner H.E. Dr. Athira S. hoisted the national flag of India at Embassy Residence at 08:15 AM and read out excerpts of the address of hon’ble President of India to the nation on the eve of 78th Independence Day.

3.  Performances of dancers of SIBA and officials of AHCI Kandy added flavours to the celebration. This Independence Day, Indian community in Kandy participated enthusiastically in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign showcasing their love and respect for the Indian flag.

4.  Indian community, members of Indian diaspora, eminent personalities & friends of India participated in the celebration.
